  6. This is to announce Kermit for the Burroughs 7800 and other Burroughs
  7. large systems (5000/6000/7000 and A series), written in Algol by Larry
  8. Johnson, Dave Squire, and Katie Stevens at the Computer Center,
  9. University of California at Davis.  The program and user manual are
  10. in the Kermit Distribution as B78*.*, alongside the other Burroughs
  11. mainframe Kermits, B68*.* (for the 6800, from Quest Research, Inc),
  12. and B79*.* (for the 7900, from THE--Technische Hogeschool Eindhoven).
  13. If any Burroughs aficionados out there know if this new program makes
  14. either or both of the other two redundant, please let us know so we
  15. can move them to a less critical area.

  17. UC Davis has indicated willingness to supply this version of Kermit
  18. directly to other Burroughs sites that request it directly from them.
